Frequently Asked Questions

01

1. Q: The reason this site www.sharoncares.com was created?

A: A: The site was created because so many people would ask me, “what all are you doing Sharon? I can't keep up with you.” Or they would remember some of the things I was doing, but not all of the things I was doing. Or they didn't know I could help with a particular service, or how they could reach me. So I decided to build a website where you could follow me and find out what I’m doing in and around our community and county. I want this site to be a “one stop shop” where you could see my love for the community and my way of caring, which is a real nurse’s way of giving back.

2. Q: Why did you choose nursing?

A: As a little girl growing up, I never said I wanted to be anything else but a Nurse, starting as early as 6 years old!

3. Q: What High School did you attend?

A:  I attend Howard High School. While there I concentrated on math and science I order to get myself ready for nursing school. I also made a point of staying in touch with my guidance counselor at the school, and she really helped me. Howard was a great school that took time with their students on a personal level.

4. Q: How many Role Models did do you have?

A: My Role models were my parents first and foremost. Then “Julia” played by Diahann Carroll. The show “Julia” portrayed a black single mom who was nurse. This show aired during the 60’s! Other role models were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mason and others.

5. Q: How do you feel about Mentoring?

A:  Mentoring is so important! My first mentors were both of my parents, because they always told me I could be and do anything I wanted to do and be in life and I believed them both. My teachers always told me and encouraged me to be that nurse, and then it was my co-worker who encouraged me to be that entrepreneur and go into business. Each and every day when you speak to someone in conversation and they give you advice, at that moment and time they are your mentor! A lot of people have mentored me even strangers that I don't know—they too are my mentors because I listened to what they said and used it!

It is when you have a love or passion for something is the first step. When you are good at doing something and would like to share your product or services with others. When no one else seem to understand but you that this is something you want to do the rest of your life! YOU MUST HAVE THAT DRIVE! And Say Ant Know Stopping You Now, which is my theme song at Mocha and on the radio!

6. Q. How can you tell when you have the Entrepreneur Spirit?

A: When you have a love or passion for something is the first step. You have the Entrepreneur spirit when you are good at doing something and would like to share your product or services with others. When no one else but you seems to understand that this is something you want to do the rest of your life! YOU MUST HAVE THAT DRIVE and say “Ain’t No Stopping You Now”, which is my theme song at Mocha and on my radio show!

7.Q: Is Branding important?

A: Yes! Branding is very important, because it will make your product or service stand out from the others. Being first is hard sometimes, but if you are first in doing something and define yourself and not let others define you, that's branding. Also it's important to live up to what you said you are when you defined yourself. And lastly, look like what you say you are. Those are the best 3 steps in branding you and your business.
